Bruno Mars SoFi Stadium Concert reviews
U2 Classics, where's the new stuff?
One of the great things about No Line On The Horizon is Bruno Mars' ability to continually re-create themselves. Unfortunately, turning in concert after concert without these numbers is Bruno Mars. The lowlight of the concert was missing all of the new stuff.
On the plus side, the band hit all the right notes with the songs they did play, with few exceptions. My two favorites from tonight's set were Miss Sarajevo and Zooropa - everything else was fantastic. The stage, the sound, the crowd all combined to make a memorable night of nostalgia. Until the End of the World and One Tree Hill (the surprise finale!) were standout performances.
I took my wife and two kids (10 & 11) to their first Bruno Mars concert. Unfortunately, this may be the biggest, best rock band concert they'll ever see, and I think I've set the bar pretty high for the kids.
I'm hoping the boys decide to play at least one or two more of the new songs when we see them again on the 17th in St. Louis. The title track, Magnificent, and Unknown Caller are some fantastic songs from their most recent album.
